You do not need to redesign every spring. You do need to keep the facts true. Phone number, hours, cities you cover, services you still offer — if those drift, the site starts lying, and people notice.
Reviews should stay recent. A homepage stuck on quotes from 2021 looks closed. Add new jobs to a gallery when you have photos worth showing. Swap seasonal mentions if you actually do that work — storm season, freeze-ups, summer AC — without turning the site into a newsletter.
What can sit still: a solid layout, the core story of the company, pages that already rank and still describe the work. Do not rip those up for a trend.
A light monthly pass is enough for most shops: broken links, a new review, a photo, a service you added. A full rethink is for when the site is slow, not mobile, or not sending leads to your phone.
Stale is not the same as stable. Stable is a site that still tells the truth. Stale is a site that stopped being a tool. Know the difference and you will not overspend on cosmetics or underspend on the details that hire.
